The photos below were taken with a film medium format camera. When shooting film I tend to be more selective (there are 10 frames per roll) and plan better to have enough time to digitize photos. I always try to keep photoshop adjustments at minimum, make sure nothing is blown out and shadow details are visible, colors are neutral, and crop is visually pleasing.
“Life After People“, a tv series, was the inspiration for these photographs. There is this “silent battle“ happening between nature and industry.
This image was cropped and straightened, using transform tool. Dust from scanning was removed using spot healing brush. I adjusted brightness and color temperature with combination of curves and selective colors.
The image was cropped to remove black borders, dust from scanning was removed using spot healing brush. Colors and exposure was adjusted using curves. I used selective colors to add a few points of RED in BLACK.
This photograph was cropped and spotted as the other two. There are visible lines on the first photo from scanning, those were removed using combination of spot healing brush and clone tool.
